This gives The Chronicles of Narnia (and C. S. Lewis' other fantasy novels) a rather loose structure, although it fits within the English language. Chapters are named after author C. S. Lewis' boyhood dog, who was named Blaze. This is followed by a brief introduction to the characters and the plot. While the divisions of a chapter often form the point of the narrative, the short sub-chapters within each chapter are somewhat self-contained, although the overall plot moves from one part to the next. The divisions of chapters are numbered. Lewis wrote the first and third parts as a story in a schoolboy publication called The Narnia Companion, and revised it before publication. Kingdom of Narnia is a fictional land in the fictional universe of Lewis' Narnia series, set after the events of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. It is introduced in The Silver Chair (originally titled The Enchanted Place in the novel) and originally introduced by Caspian at the end of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. In the second part, Prince Rilian has been captured by the Calormenes, and King Miraz has become a puppet of Calormen. Miraz and his half-brother Rilian's mother, Queen Morwen, fall in love, and Miraz gives her the mantle of Queen. In the third part, Rilian, with help from Caspian, Morwen and the spirits of Narnia, leads a rebellion against Miraz and frees Narnia from Calormene rule.
